I had a wonderful April’s Fool Day about two weeks ago. It was a day filled with fun and laughter and I had a really great time laughing at the pranks played. My class, 1P, played pranks on all the teachers who had lessons with us on that day and some of them played pranks on their classmates too. I remember particularly, the prank which Dharnia happened to play on Meena as she was our class clown therefore, her reaction was hilarious when she found out Dharnia had played a prank on her.
On that day, 1st April, I woke out with a sense of excitement and couldn’t wait to see the pranks that would be played since Dharnia had already told me over the phone yesterday that she would be playing numerous pranks on our classmates. I told myself to remember to pay extra attention to whatever I am doing as I would be an easy target since I usually am not as attentive. The moment I stepped into the classroom, I saw Dharnia heading towards me. “Uh-oh” I thought to myself while constantly reminding myself to be careful and to not be tricked by her. Dharnia reached to my side and waved, “Hi!” she greeted me cheerfully. I smiled back at her while still repeating to myself to be careful. She than leaned towards me and whispered to me her plan. “Let’s play a prank on Meena!” she whispered excitedly, “we could spill some water on her seat, and being the inattentive person she is, she will sit down without Noticing the water!” I nodded in agreement and stifled a giggle. We than proceed to pour some water on Meena’s chair inconspicuously and returned to our seats like nothing have happened.
Soon, Meena arrived at the classroom; as usual she placed her grey schoolbag and her hot pink laptop bag on the floor. She then pulled her seat and sat down on it without a glance. At that point in time, I couldn’t control myself and started laughing hysterically. Meena turned around and peered at me queerly a moment before turning back, all the while thinking that I have gone crazy. Not long later, we had to proceed to the parade square for morning assembly. Meena stood up and stretched her hand while yawning. I took a glance at her skirt and started laughing like a mad person again; Meena looked like she had urinated on her skirt! That was when Meena suspected something; she looked at me suspiciously and looked around her. She soon spotted her wet skirt. That was also when Dharnia came over, both of us roared with laughter instantly and Dharnia commented to Meena what I was thinking, “Meena, you looked like you just peed on your skirt!” she exclaimed in between her laughter. Meena smiled at us embarrassingly as she did not know what else to do and her cheeks turned red with embarrassment.
It was a really enjoyable day and I had lots of fun throughout the day laughing at the pranks played. From that day onwards, I also learnt to be much more careful during April’s Fools day! It was one of the best April’s Fools day I had as I did not celebrate April’s Fools day back in my previous school and this was the first April’s Fools day I had with my new classmates in Cedar!
